How to Check Your Name in Any Government Scheme List 2026 — Master Guide

government scheme list name check 2026

सरकारी योजना लिस्ट में अपना नाम कैसे चेक करें — संपूर्ण गाइड

Master hub: one reference to check your name on every major Indian government scheme list — PM-Kisan, Ayushman, PMAY, Ujjwala, E-Shram, ration card, SECC 2011, state schemes, and more. Bookmark this page.

If you’ve applied to even one government scheme, you’ve asked the question: “Is my name in the list?” It’s the single most-searched query across Indian government service websites — and yet there’s no single authoritative place that collects every “check your name” link. This guide is that place.

Before we dive in, remember three rules:

  1. Only use official .gov.in / .nic.in / official portal domains. Many lookalike sites charge for “checking” — all checks are free on official portals.
  2. Never share your OTP. Scammers impersonate “PM-KISAN helpline” or “Ayushman officer” and ask for your OTP to steal your bank DBT. No government helpline ever asks for OTP.
  3. Keep your Aadhaar-linked mobile and NPCI-seeded bank account ready — these are needed for most checks.

State Scheme Check — Pattern to Use

Every state has women’s scheme lists, farmer benefit lists, scholarship lists, pension lists on its respective portal. General pattern:

  1. Google search: “[scheme name] [state] beneficiary status”
  2. Open only the .gov.in or official state portal result
  3. Look for: “Lagu Hokumnath” (Marathi), “Lagbhg Sthithi” (Hindi), “Beneficiary List” (English), “Lagu Stithi” (Bengali/Oriya)
  4. Enter Aadhaar or state family ID + mobile OTP
  5. See status

Red Flags — Scams to Watch For

These are common scams as of 2026:

🚩 “Ayushman helpline” asking for OTP

Never share your OTP. Official helplines ask for name, DOB, village — never OTP. If anyone asks for OTP, hang up.

🚩 SMS with “Click to check status” link

Legitimate sources don’t send unsolicited SMS with links. Always manually type the official URL into your browser.

🚩 “Pay ₹50 to check your Pradhan Mantri Awas list”

All status checks are free on official portals. Any site charging for a check is a scam.

🚩 “Call this agent to get your scheme approved”

No scheme requires an agent. If yours does, you’re at a non-government site. Use only official portals.

🚩 Fake “PMAY consultants” who promise approval for a fee

Approval is based on eligibility criteria alone, not on paid intermediaries. Paying an agent will not change your eligibility.

Why Some Searches Fail — Troubleshooting

Symptom Likely cause Fix
“Your name is not in the list” Registration not done, or rejected Re-apply / re-verify via relevant scheme
OTP not received Aadhaar mobile inactive or wrong number Update mobile at Aadhaar Seva Kendra
“Invalid Aadhaar” Typo or old Aadhaar number Retype carefully; use recent e-Aadhaar
“Account inactive” on DBT check Bank Aadhaar-NPCI link broken Visit bank → re-seed Aadhaar NPCI
Status shows “Pending” for months State-level verification delay Follow up at Panchayat/Block office
Portal down / loading slow Server-side issue Try at off-peak hours (early morning or late night)

FAQ — Common Questions

I can’t find my name in any list. Am I really not eligible? Possibly not, but more often: you never applied, or your application was rejected for a fixable reason (Aadhaar-bank mismatch, exclusion criteria, address mismatch). Re-apply through the relevant portal, or visit your Gram Panchayat for help.

Can I check someone else’s status (like my parent’s or spouse’s)? Yes — but you’ll need their Aadhaar/mobile to receive OTP. The portal is strictly OTP-verified, not password-based.

How often should I check my status? For active schemes (PM-KISAN, PMAY-G installments, Ujjwala subsidy), once every 3-4 months is enough. For one-time schemes (Ayushman card, SSY account), check after application and then only if a benefit is missed.

What if my Aadhaar mobile is different from my active mobile? Update your Aadhaar mobile first at any Aadhaar Seva Kendra — this unblocks most scheme access.

Can I file grievance online for ALL schemes? Yes — each scheme has a grievance tab on its portal. Alternatively, use the unified PG Portal (pgportal.gov.in) — the Department of Administrative Reforms’ central grievance site. It routes your complaint to the relevant ministry.

Should I install any “scheme status” app? Official apps only — UMANG (Ministry of Electronics), PM-KISAN Mobile App, E-Shram App, MyAadhaar, MyLPG. Anything else claiming to check multiple schemes at once is not official — stick to .gov.in portals and the apps above.
