नमो शेतकरी महासन्मान निधि योजना महाराष्ट्र: लाभ और आवेदन

Quick facts: ₹6,000/year on top of PM-KISAN for eligible Maharashtra farmers · total ₹12,000/year per farmer family · auto-enrolled via PM-KISAN database · portal nsmny.mahait.org · no separate registration needed.

Launched in 2023 by the Government of Maharashtra, the Namo Shetkari Maha Sanman Nidhi Yojana is a state-level top-up to the central PM-KISAN scheme. Eligible Maharashtra farmers who already receive ₹6,000/year from PM-KISAN receive an additional ₹6,000/year from the state — bringing their total annual support to ₹12,000. The scheme covers approximately 94 lakh farmer families in Maharashtra.

योजना का उद्देश्य — Goal

The scheme aims to: – Double the direct income support to Maharashtra’s small and marginal farmers – Complement PM-KISAN (central) with a matching state transfer – Provide predictable support as fertilizer costs and erratic weather increase farming risk

लाभ संरचना — Benefit Structure

  • Amount: ₹6,000 per year
  • Frequency: Three equal installments of ₹2,000 each
  • Timing: Tied to PM-KISAN cycle — April-July, August-November, December-March
  • Mode: Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to Aadhaar-linked bank account
  • Coverage: All Maharashtra farmer families eligible under PM-KISAN

Total farmer income support per year: – PM-KISAN (central): ₹6,000 – Namo Shetkari (state): ₹6,000 – Combined: ₹12,000 per year

पात्रता — Who Qualifies

Key simplicity: if you receive PM-KISAN, you automatically qualify for Namo Shetkari — no separate eligibility check beyond being a Maharashtra resident.

Conditions

  • Listed in the PM-KISAN beneficiary database for a Maharashtra address
  • Maharashtra resident with domicile proof
  • Active Aadhaar linked to a Maharashtra bank account (NPCI-seeded)
  • Not excluded from PM-KISAN (i.e., not income-tax payer, institutional landholder, MP/MLA family, etc.)

Who doesn’t qualify

  • Farmers not in the PM-KISAN list
  • Non-Maharashtra residents (even if they farm in MH — must have MH domicile)
  • Anyone excluded from PM-KISAN is automatically excluded from Namo Shetkari

आवश्यक दस्तावेज़ — Documents (usually not needed!)

Since enrolment is automatic through the PM-KISAN database, you typically don’t submit documents separately. However, if you need to fix your record:

  • Aadhaar card
  • Bank passbook (Aadhaar-seeded Maharashtra account)
  • PM-KISAN Registration Number
  • Maharashtra domicile (needed only for dispute resolution)

आवेदन — Do I Need to Apply Separately?

No, usually not. The state government periodically pulls the PM-KISAN beneficiary list for Maharashtra, verifies via the NSMNY backend at nsmny.mahait.org, and credits the installment directly.

When you DO need to take action

  • Your PM-KISAN status is “Suspended” — first get it re-activated through pmkisan.gov.in
  • Your bank’s Aadhaar-NPCI link is broken — fix at your bank branch (most common cause of missing installments)
  • You recently moved to Maharashtra — update your address in PM-KISAN first; then Namo Shetkari enrolment follows
  • Your state records show you as a non-farmer — correct land records via your talathi / tehsildar

स्थिति कैसे चेक करें — Check Status

  1. Open https://nsmny.mahait.org
  2. Click “Beneficiary Status” / “Lagu Hokumnath” (लाभार्थी स्थिती)
  3. Enter your PM-KISAN Registration Number + Aadhaar + OTP
  4. See: – NSMNY enrolment status (active / inactive / pending) – Installment-wise payment log – Bank account last four digits

Tip: check PM-KISAN status first at pmkisan.gov.in. If PM-KISAN shows “FTO generated + success” but Namo Shetkari shows “Pending”, wait 30-45 days — state cycles run slightly behind the central cycle.

FAQ — Common Questions

I received PM-KISAN installment but not Namo Shetkari — what to do? Wait 30-45 days after the central installment. State cycles run behind. If after that period it’s still missing, check nsmny.mahait.org status and file a grievance at the District Agriculture Office.

My land is in Maharashtra but my Aadhaar address is outside — am I eligible? The system checks Maharashtra domicile. Update your Aadhaar address to reflect your Maharashtra residence. Once updated, re-verify in PM-KISAN; Namo Shetkari flows from there.

My PM-KISAN is active but I never received Namo Shetkari. Why? Most likely reasons: your PM-KISAN address is registered outside Maharashtra, or your bank account is in another state. Verify and correct these on pmkisan.gov.in and your bank.

Is there any income or land-size cap? Namo Shetkari inherits PM-KISAN’s rules — all Maharashtra PM-KISAN beneficiaries (no income-tax payer, no institutional holder) qualify regardless of land size.

Can I apply retrospectively for missed installments? No. If you weren’t enrolled at the time of an installment, you don’t receive it retrospectively. Once enrolled, you receive all future installments.

What if my bank account is frozen or inoperative? The FTO will show “rejected — inoperative account”. Reactivate or open a new Aadhaar-seeded Maharashtra bank account, then the next installment will credit successfully.
