Register the birth with the local Anganwadi Kendra and Jeevika DiDi if your village is covered
Enrol Aadhaar for your daughter within the first year
Complete full immunization by age 2 — the Anganwadi worker records this on the medhasoft backend
Amount credited to mother’s bank account automatically

2. School uniform benefits (school-driven)

Your daughter’s school submits the list of enrolled students annually to the Education Department
Funds are disbursed through the Head Teacher → parent’s bank account
Usually twice a year

3. ₹50,000 graduation benefit (student-driven)

Click “Apply Online” / “New Registration”
Enter: Aadhaar, degree certificate details, university name and code, passing year, marksheet of final year

Submit. You receive an application reference number.
University verification takes 30-60 days
Once approved, ₹50,000 is credited to your Aadhaar-linked bank account via DBT

FAQ — Common Questions

I graduated after age 25 — can I still apply for the ₹50,000? No. The hard cut-off is graduation completed before the age of 25. Applications for graduates above 25 are automatically rejected. If you turned 25 very recently after graduation, apply immediately.

I’m from Bihar but studying outside the state — does my course qualify? Yes, if your course is from a UGC-recognized university (Indian institution). Students studying outside Bihar are eligible as long as domicile proof is Bihar.

What if my name is spelled differently on my degree and Aadhaar? This is the #1 cause of rejection. Correct the Aadhaar name first (match your degree exactly) at the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra, then apply. Alternatively, get a name-affidavit and attach it to the application.

Does the benefit apply to girls who drop out before graduation? The ₹50,000 graduation component is only for girls who successfully complete graduation before age 25. Earlier-stage benefits (birth, uniforms, immunization) are paid regardless of later academic path.

Can I get the benefit for a 2-year B.Ed / Diploma course? Diploma courses don’t count. The scheme applies to 3- or 4-year UGC graduation courses (BA/BSc/BCom/BTech/etc.) or integrated equivalents.
