सुभद्रा योजना ओडिशा 2026: पूरी गाइड

Quick facts: ₹10,000 per year to eligible women in Odisha · paid in 2 installments of ₹5,000 (Rakhi Purnima + International Women’s Day) · age 21-60 · ₹50,000 total over 5 years · portal subhadra.odisha.gov.in · approximately 1 crore beneficiaries.

Launched on 17 September 2024 by the BJP-led Odisha government, Subhadra Yojana is one of the flagship women’s welfare programmes of the state. Named after the sister of Lord Jagannath (a revered figure in Odia culture), the scheme provides ₹10,000 per year directly to eligible women across 5 years — a total of ₹50,000 per beneficiary. The scheme targets ~1 crore Odisha women and is among India’s largest state-level direct cash transfers to women.

योजना का ढांचा — Benefit Structure

  • Annual amount: ₹10,000 per eligible woman
  • Paid in 2 installments:
  • ₹5,000 on Rakhi Purnima (August)
  • ₹5,000 on International Women’s Day (8 March)
  • Scheme duration: 5 years (FY 2024-25 to FY 2028-29)
  • Total per beneficiary over 5 years: ₹50,000
  • Payment mode: DBT to Aadhaar-linked bank account
  • Extras: Subhadra Debit Card (RuPay) issued to each beneficiary for cash withdrawal

पात्रता — Who Qualifies

Mandatory conditions

  • Odisha resident with continuous domicile
  • Woman aged 21 to 60 years (on 1 July 2024)
  • Family not paying income tax
  • Family has no regular government employee (central/state/PSU including contractual)
  • Family not receiving another similar cash scheme of ₹1,500+/month (to avoid benefit overlap)

Exclusions

  • Government employees and family
  • Income-tax payers
  • Families owning luxury vehicles or more than 5 acres of irrigated farmland
  • Existing beneficiaries of other ₹1,500+/month cash schemes (auto-flagged to avoid double benefit)

आवश्यक दस्तावेज़ — Documents Required

  • Aadhaar card
  • Bank passbook — Aadhaar-seeded (NPCI mapping required)
  • Ration card (for family verification)
  • Residence proof — Odisha domicile
  • Passport-size photograph
  • Mobile number linked to Aadhaar

The Aadhaar-bank seeding via NPCI is critical — this is the #1 reason installments fail. Visit your bank and request NPCI mapping specifically (not just Aadhaar linking).

Subhadra Debit Card

Each approved beneficiary gets a Subhadra Debit Card — a RuPay card issued with the approved bank account. Use it for:

  • Withdrawals at any ATM in India
  • POS payments at shops
  • Online payments (UPI-linked)

This is part of the scheme’s financial-inclusion goal — many women are getting their first independent debit card through this.

FAQ — Common Questions

I moved from Odisha to another state recently. Am I still eligible? No. The scheme is only for current Odisha residents with verified domicile. Relocation (loss of domicile) makes you ineligible.

My Aadhaar is in another state but I live in Odisha now. What to do? Update your Aadhaar address to your Odisha residence first, then apply for Subhadra. Registration without Odisha-Aadhaar is typically rejected.

I’m a widow. Am I eligible? Yes, if you meet the other criteria (age 21-60, Odisha resident, income/exclusion-free).

I already get ₹1,000/month from another state scheme. Will I still get Subhadra? Possibly. The exclusion threshold is ₹1,500+/month. If your other scheme pays less than that, you’re eligible for Subhadra alongside.

Is the Subhadra card mandatory for getting the money? The debit card helps with withdrawals but is not mandatory. Money is deposited directly in your bank account; you can also use your existing debit card or visit the bank counter.

What if I’m registered but haven’t received any payment yet? Check status on subhadra.odisha.gov.in. Most delays are due to bank seeding or incomplete Aadhaar verification. Visit Mo Seva Kendra for resolution.
