Launched in July 2024 by the Maharashtra state government, Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana (मुख्यमंत्री माझी लाड़की बहीण योजना — “My Dear Sister”) is the state’s flagship women’s direct-cash-transfer scheme. Modeled on MP’s Ladli Behna, the scheme reaches women across age groups 21-65 with a monthly ₹1,500 transfer. By early 2025, over 2.5 crore women had been enrolled.

पात्रता — Who Qualifies

Mandatory conditions

• Maharashtra resident with domicile
• Female, aged 21 to 65 years
• Family annual income below ₹2.5 lakh
• Aadhaar-NPCI bank seeded (must be in woman’s own name)
• Family does not include:
• Regular government employee (central / state / PSU)
• Income-tax payer
• Owner of multiple 4-wheelers
• Agricultural land > 5 acres irrigated

• Widows
• Divorcees / abandoned women
• Unmarried adults (expanded eligibility since 2024 update)

Exclusions

• Women currently receiving another monthly cash scheme of ₹1,500+
• Women with permanent govt / PSU employment
• Women residing outside Maharashtra

1. Visit nearest Anganwadi Kendra (rural) or Ward Office (urban)
2. Carry Aadhaar + bank passbook + photos
3. Officer fills form on cmladkibahin.mahaonline.gov.in on your behalf
4. Biometric e-KYC
5. Receive acknowledgment slip
6. First payment in next cycle (usually 30-60 days after approval)

Option 2: CSC / Aaple Sarkar Kendra

Similar process at Common Service Centre or Aaple Sarkar (Maharashtra’s citizen-service centres).

Payment Schedule

• Target date: 10th of each month
• Delays of 2-5 days are common during holidays
