पीएम किसान लाभार्थी स्थिति 2026: किस्त कैसे चेक करें
Quick facts: ₹6,000 per year to every eligible landholding farmer · paid in 3 installments of ₹2,000 · direct bank transfer · e-KYC mandatory · portal pmkisan.gov.in · helpline 155261.
When the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) kicks in every four months, ₹2,000 lands directly in the farmer’s bank account — no middlemen, no paperwork at the bank. But this works only if three things are in order: your name is in the beneficiary list, your e-KYC is complete, and your bank account is linked to Aadhaar. The number-one reason farmers’ installments get held up is one of these three checks failing silently. This guide walks through how to check your status, fix what’s broken, and confirm when your next kist is coming.
PM-KISAN क्या है — What the Scheme Does
The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, launched in February 2019, transfers a fixed income support of ₹6,000 per year to every eligible landholding farmer family in India. The money is disbursed in three equal installments of ₹2,000 — roughly in April–July, August–November, and December–March.
- Coverage: all landholding farmer families (originally small/marginal, expanded in 2019 to every landholder)
- Funding: 100% Central Government scheme — no state contribution required from you
- Mode: DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) to Aadhaar-linked bank account
- No repayment: this is a grant, not a loan
As of 2026, more than 11 crore farmer families have received at least one installment under the scheme. The running total disbursed has crossed ₹3 lakh crore.
पात्रता — Who Qualifies (and Who Doesn’t)
You qualify if
- You (or your family) own cultivable land recorded in the land records database of your state — any size is accepted
- You are an Indian citizen with a valid Aadhaar card
- Your land records are updated as of 01 February 2019 or after
You are excluded if
PM-KISAN has a specific exclusion list — if any of these apply to any member of your family, the family is not eligible:
- Institutional landholders (trusts, companies)
- Former or current constitutional post holders (MPs/MLAs, ministers, etc.)
- Persons who paid income tax in the last assessment year
- Serving or retired central/state government employees (Grade D / Group IV multi-tasking staff are exempt from this exclusion)
- Retired pensioners with a monthly pension of ₹10,000 or more (Grade D exempt)
- Professionals like doctors, engineers, lawyers, CAs registered with their council who practise
- NRIs
A single ineligible member in the family makes the whole family ineligible. If your status turns “Suspended” after an installment, this is usually the reason — verify each family member’s profession.
आवश्यक दस्तावेज़ — Documents You’ll Need
- Aadhaar card — mandatory, must be linked to bank account and mobile
- Bank passbook — for DBT transfer
- Land records — khasra / khatauni / patta / 7/12 / Pahani (depends on state). The revenue department digitally shares this with PM-KISAN, but having a copy helps if there’s a dispute
- Mobile number — linked to Aadhaar, active for OTPs
Important: the Aadhaar on your PM-KISAN profile must match the Aadhaar linked to your bank account. A mismatch is the single biggest reason kists fail silently.
लाभार्थी स्थिति कैसे चेक करें — Check Beneficiary Status
- Open https://pmkisan.gov.in in any browser
- Click “Know Your Status” on the top right of the homepage
- Enter your Registration Number (printed on your PM-KISAN card) — if you don’t have it, click “Know your Registration Number” and search by Aadhaar + mobile
- Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile
- The status page shows: – Your name, village, and bank details – e-KYC status (Yes / No) – Aadhaar seeding status (Yes / No) – Land-seeding status (Yes / No — state dependent) – Installment-wise payment history
Each installment shows one of these states: – FTO (Fund Transfer Order) generated + success — money has reached your bank – FTO generated + rejected by bank — usually means Aadhaar-bank mismatch – Pending for SHA (State Head Authority) approval — wait – Not paid — eligibility issue; check exclusions
e-KYC कैसे करें — Complete e-KYC
e-KYC is mandatory before every installment is released. There are three ways to do it:
- OTP-based e-KYC (easiest) — on pmkisan.gov.in → click “e-KYC” → enter Aadhaar → enter OTP → done. Free.
- Biometric e-KYC — at any CSC (Common Service Centre) with fingerprint scanner. ₹15 to ₹30 fee.
- Face authentication e-KYC — through the official PM-KISAN mobile app (Google Play Store). Useful if your Aadhaar-linked mobile doesn’t work.
If your e-KYC is complete but the status still says “Pending”, clear your browser cache and check again after 24 hours — the backend can lag.
Aadhaar-Bank Link — The Most Common Blocker
Many farmers assume opening a bank account with Aadhaar automatically “links” it. It does not — NPCI mapping is a separate step.
To link: 1. Visit your bank branch 2. Ask for “Aadhaar-NPCI seeding” — not just “Aadhaar linking” 3. Bank will issue an acknowledgment; NPCI mapping takes 2–4 working days 4. Verify on UIDAI’s bhim.npci.org.in → Aadhaar-Bank status check
Once NPCI-mapped, DBT payments flow automatically.

| Name not in list | Registration not done, or rejection | Re-register with correct land record |

FAQ — Common Questions
When will the next PM Kisan installment be released? Each tranche is released roughly every four months: April–July, August–November, December–March. The government announces exact dates via pmkisan.gov.in and press release. Your bank statement is the authoritative source once it lands.
Is e-KYC required for every installment? e-KYC is a one-time process as long as your Aadhaar data is unchanged. If your Aadhaar details (name, DOB, address) change, re-do e-KYC before the next installment.
My land is joint with my brother — do both of us get ₹6,000? PM-KISAN treats the family as one unit for land recorded in a single joint record. If each brother has a separately recorded share, each is eligible independently. Your patwari / tehsildar is the final authority.
My father was a pensioner receiving ₹12,000/month. Are we eligible? No. Pensioners drawing ₹10,000/month or more exclude the entire family, except for Grade D/Group IV retired government employees.
Can I register myself without going through a CSC? Yes — use the “Farmer Corner” → New Farmer Registration option on pmkisan.gov.in. Self-registration is free and instant if your land records are digitally available in your state.
How long after registration does the first installment come? Typically 30 to 90 days after your registration is approved by the state revenue department. The exact timing depends on when the next national installment cycle lands.
