FAQ — Common Questions
I scored 69% in MP Board. Am I eligible? No — current cutoff is 70% for MPBSE. 69% falls below; check if current year has revised the cutoff (verify on medhasoft.mp.gov.in).
I got 86% in CBSE. Am I eligible? Yes — CBSE/ICSE cutoff is 85%. You qualify.
My parent earns ₹7 lakh/year (above ₹6 lakh cap). Any other scheme? MMVY is out, but Post-Matric Scholarship (higher cap for OBC-NCL at ₹8 lakh) may apply. Or look for private-college merit scholarships.
I’m in 2nd year of BTech — can I apply now? No. MMVY must be applied in first year only. Second-year entry is not accepted.
My college charges ₹2 lakh private-college tuition. Does MMVY cover all? MMVY covers up to the state-notified fee structure (typically ₹30,000-60,000 for engineering). Excess private fees are out-of-pocket.
Can I use MMVY plus another scholarship (Post-Matric SC/ST)? No — they overlap in tuition coverage. Choose the one with higher benefit.
