प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना ग्रामीण लिस्ट 2026: नाम कैसे चेक करें
Quick facts: ₹1.20 lakh in plain areas, ₹1.30 lakh in hilly/NE/difficult areas · 3 installments · scheme extended till 2028-29 · portal pmayg.nic.in · helpline 1800-11-6446.
The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) is the Government of India’s rural housing scheme. If your family was picked in the beneficiary list, the government pays for most of your house construction directly into your bank account. The commonest confusion is between PMAY-G (rural) and PMAY-U (urban) — this guide is about the rural one, applicable anywhere outside municipal corporation or nagar palika limits.
The scheme was extended in the 2024 Union Budget to build an additional 2 crore houses by 2028-29, so if you were not on earlier lists, new surveys are running in your block. Here’s how to check, apply, and track your kist.
PMAY-G क्या है — What the Scheme Does
PMAY-G aims to replace every kutcha or dilapidated rural home in India with a pucca house that meets minimum quality standards — at least 25 sq m of carpet area, a hygienic cooking space, a toilet (coordinated with the Swachh Bharat Shauchalaya scheme), LPG connection (Ujjwala), and an electricity connection.
- Subsidy amount: ₹1.20 lakh in plain areas, ₹1.30 lakh in hilly, North-Eastern, and difficult terrain
- Fund flow: 60:40 split between Centre and State (90:10 for NE states and hill states)
- Unskilled labour: covered separately under MGNREGA (about 90–95 person-days at the notified wage)
- Toilet: additional ₹12,000 via Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin
- LPG connection: via Ujjwala Yojana (free)
- Money flow: 3 installments, paid directly to the beneficiary’s Aadhaar-linked bank account
Once all benefits stack together, a beneficiary family typically receives ₹1.80–2.20 lakh across PMAY-G + SBM + MGNREGA + Ujjwala.
पात्रता — Who Qualifies
Selection is based on SECC 2011 Housing Deprivation Data + the more recent Awaas+ 2018 survey and subsequent verifications.
Households automatically considered
- Listed in SECC 2011 under housing deprivation (0, 1, or 2 kutcha rooms with kutcha wall and kutcha roof)
- Added under Awaas+ surveys after 2018
- Added during the 2024 verification drive for the 2 crore expansion
Priority among eligible households
- SC / ST / Minority / Persons with disabilities households
- Women-headed households
- Houses of martyrs’ families from armed/paramilitary forces
Exclusions (even if SECC lists you)
- Households owning a 4-wheeler or mechanized 3-/4-wheeler farm equipment
- Members of government service (Grade A/B/C)
- Income-tax payers
- Households with any member earning more than ₹15,000/month as non-agricultural regular income
- Kisan Credit Card holders with a limit of ₹50,000 or more
- Households with a refrigerator, landline, or motorized boat
The list is checked automatically when the state-level officer verifies your name. A single exclusion makes the household ineligible.
आवश्यक दस्तावेज़ — Documents Needed
Most applicants do not apply directly — you are surveyed in by the block office. But if you need to file or update details, keep:
- Aadhaar cards of all adult family members
- Bank passbook in the name of a female member of the household (priority rule)
- MGNREGA Job Card (needed for labour component)
- SECC 2011 or Awaas+ reference ID if available
- Residential proof of the village
- Two recent passport-size photos
PMAY-G लिस्ट कैसे चेक करें — Check Your Name on the List
- Open https://pmayg.nic.in in a browser
- Scroll to the footer, look for “IAY/PMAYG Beneficiary” or “Stakeholders” → “Beneficiary”
- Enter your registration number if you have it, OR click “Advanced Search”
- Select State → District → Block → Panchayat → Financial Year → Scheme Name (PMAY-G)
- Click Submit — the full village list appears
- Use Ctrl+F to search for your name; the list is sorted by priority order
If your name is on the list but no kist has been received, note down the Registration Number and proceed to the status-check step below. If your name is not on the list: you can apply through the Gram Sabha or request your Gram Panchayat Secretary to run the Awaas+ Survey registration. New applications accepted for 2024-2028 expansion are being verified through this route.
किस्त की स्थिति और राशि — Track Your Installment
Once your name is sanctioned, three installments are released:
| Stage | Trigger | Typical amount |
|---|---|---|
| 1st installment | House sanction + site verification | ~₹30,000 (plain), ~₹37,500 (hilly) |
| 2nd installment | Plinth / foundation level verified | ~₹60,000 (plain), ~₹65,000 (hilly) |
| 3rd installment | House completion + photo uploaded to AwaasSoft | ~₹30,000 balance |
To check installment status:
- Open https://pmayg.nic.in → “FTO Tracking”
- Enter your FTO Number (shown on your sanction letter) or PMAY ID
- See which installments have been released and the transfer date
- If FTO status shows “Rejected” — 99% of the time it’s Aadhaar-bank mismatch (same as PM-KISAN). Update NPCI seeding at your bank.
The AwaasApp (free on Google Play) lets the block officer geo-tag your house at each construction stage — this is what releases the 2nd and 3rd installments. Delays in these stages usually mean a block-level photo verification is pending.
What to Do If You’re Not Selected
- File a grievance at pmayg.nic.in → “Grievance” tab, or at your Gram Panchayat
- Check Awaas+ eligibility — if a recent survey missed you, ask the Gram Panchayat Secretary for inclusion in the next Awaas+ round
- Attend the Gram Sabha — new beneficiary lists must be approved at Gram Sabha, so attendance can help flag omissions
- Don’t pay any agent — the scheme is 100% free. Selection is by survey + Gram Sabha approval, not by any fee or paperwork elsewhere

FAQ — Common Questions
How is PMAY-G different from PMAY-U? PMAY-G (Gramin) covers rural households — villages, gram panchayats, areas outside urban local bodies. PMAY-U (Urban) covers municipal corporations, nagar nigams, nagar panchayats. Same goal, different implementing ministry, different funding pattern.
Can I apply for PMAY-G online directly? Generally no — PMAY-G beneficiaries are identified through SECC 2011 and Awaas+ surveys, not through self-application. For the 2024-2028 expansion, you can register through the Awaas+ app, but your Gram Panchayat Secretary must confirm.
What if I own a kutcha house but my name was missed in SECC 2011? Request inclusion in the next Awaas+ survey through your Gram Panchayat. The 2024 re-verification drive adds ~2 crore new houses, so missed households are being re-surveyed.
How long does it take from selection to receiving the first kist? Typically 30 to 90 days from state-level sanction, assuming your Aadhaar-bank link is clean. The scheme targets completion within 12 months of first installment.
What if I own land but it’s in my father-in-law’s name? House sanction can be in your name if your spouse agrees in writing and the land is transferable to you. Speak to your Tehsildar or block officer for the exact process in your state.
Is a ration card mandatory? Not mandatory for PMAY-G, but having one speeds up the Gram Panchayat verification. A valid Aadhaar is compulsory.
